We are sitting at the Miami International Airport waiting to begin our honeymoon!! The last few hours we have reflected on Sunday and all the wonderful compliments and well wishes from all our family and friends. We had a great time on our wedding day, and it was only because we shared it with all our favorite people.
Now, as we set off on our journey together, David and I will keep the vows we took in our hearts. With your continued prayers, we will have a successful marriage. Love you all!!

This is not really applicable for most of my family who will not be traveling past downtown LA on Sunday to get to the wedding location at the Altadena Town and Country Club, but mostly for our family and friends that live south of downtown LA.
As it turns out, Sunday is the NBA All-Star game and the game will be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles just off of the 110 freeway. Due to this, there is a strong possibility that you will encounter a good deal of traffic so we recommend that you leave early on Sunday to travel to the wedding and leave yourself a cushion to get there.
Remember, the wedding ceremony will start at 3pm.

Yesterday, early weather reports for February 20 called for a 60% chance of rain. Val was getting a little worried about this, as we do not want to make our guests uncomfortable and do not want to deal with the hassle of moving the wedding indoors. However, today, the early forecasts have changed a bit and it looks like the storm has been pushed up. Hopefully is stays this way. Really, this is the best scenario because if it rains prior, that will make the sky so clear and the location has the great view of the mountains that I grew up with.
However, it may still be a bit chilly. So you may want to dress warmly for the ceremony portion. The reception will be indoors. It’s funny that the early forecasts call for colder weather on a day with “Plenty of Sun” than the days with rain.

Valerie just emailed me to tell me that Weather.com, which does forecasts as far out as 10 days, says there will be rain in Altadena on February 16. As you know, this is just 4 days before our wedding. So cross your fingers that this either does not happen or happens on time and does not last long.
If it rains, we will need to move the whole thing indoors. Of course, I would be perfectly happy with rain a day or two ahead of the wedding. That means the mountains view would be very clear. But ON the wedding date is a no-no.

Nineteen days, how did we get here so quickly? As the days race by, I am ever grateful for David’s love, support and patience. He has made this entire journey easier for me. It is clear to see I found the perfect man to marry!
Flowers are selected, tuxes picked, dress getting bustled, and vendors standing by. Venue is ready for us, and still as beautiful as I remembered it. I can’t wait for all our guests to see this place. I can’t believe that the next time I will be there is on my wedding day.
While I am looking forward to the happy days ahead, I’d like to ask you all for some prayers as well. My uncle Bobby is in the hospital, in serious condition. Please pray for him, my family, and all the doctors and nurses working around the clock to keep him with us. He is such a giving man, and I hope to hear more of his jokes in the future.
